Loughrigg Tarn.

Loughrigg Tarn is a little off the beaten track and I confess I had not actually visited it before, that’s a mistake I won’t make again.
We had been chatting with another photographer as we left Blea Tarn and he gave it his hearty recommendation. As we were heading that way anyway we thought we might as well stop off along the way.
It turns out that this tarn is a little gem nestled as it is between loughrigg Fell and Little Loughrigg it is sheltered and small enough that the far shore is never far away.
We only stopped briefly this time but I’m sure I’ll be visiting this spot again in the future.
